Ayrshire Initiatives contributes to the creation of strong sustainable communities by providing a high quality housing support service which:

• Prevents and alleviates homelessness and housing crisis;
• Assists and enables service users to successfully sustain their tenancies and settle into their community;
• Improves the wellbeing and quality of life of vulnerable people including those affected by homelessness and housing crisis;
• Promotes independence and independent living;
• Promotes acceptance without judgment.

Ayrshire Initiatives is a social enterprise based in Ayrshire. We were established to develop and deliver regeneration and inclusion services and activities which benefit residents in Ayrshire, particularly those living in disadvantaged areas.

Most of our income comes from contracts with South Ayrshire Council, but we also have contracts with Ayrshire Housing and South Ayrshire Lifelong Learning Partnership to deliver specific services and initiatives as well as funding from Communities Scotland to develop and test new projects.

Ayrshire Initiatives Board is comprised of six local people who give their time voluntarily.

We currently have 16 staff working across our various services. They are either based in our offices or in South Ayrshire Council Housing Offices.

We are also looking to the future and hoping to develop new services and initiatives which regenerate communities in South Ayrshire, particularly around neighbourhood services, employability and physical developments.
